Alright so It’s been a while since my last post in this series, but I am happy to be back out on the hunt for the best vegan brunches in London.
Mildreds is one the the most well known vegetarian restaurants in London, and I have been to both the Soho and Kings Cross locations multiple times, but always for dinner. So this was my first time visiting the new location in Dalston as well as my first time trying their brunch.
I really like the decor in this location. It is pretty spacious and has a bit of an industrial feel to it with some cute bits like a cactus wall and gold pineapple lamps.
Looking at the menu, I was happy to see that everything was either vegan or had the option of being vegan, mostly by subbing scrambled eggs for tofu. It’s not a huge menu but covers most of your brunch food basics. They also had the regular lunch menu available.
I went for the big breakfast, which was basically a full English and my husband had the tostadas with a side of chips, which come with the most delicious basil mayo. I really enjoyed my food and tried some of the tostadas and thought they were pretty good as well. Thats one thing I miss from living in New York, the Mexican brunches! If anyone knows somewhere that does a good vegan breakfast burrito PLEASE let me know! Our coffees were really nice too.
Overall, this was really nice spot for a casual bit of brunching, it wasn’t too busy, the service was good and they served mimosas. What more do you need?
